Bowel Cancer Screening Awareness Campaign - South West 2025

Bowel cancer is the UK’s fourth most common cancer but if diagnosed at the earliest stages, bowel cancer is treatable and curable.

For cancer screening to be effective, it is important that uptake is high. To improve uptake in the South West we aim to increase awareness of Bowel Cancer Screening targeted at the eligible population.

Our bowel cancer screening awareness campaign for Spring 2025 aims to raise awareness that the eligible age has reduced from 60 to 50 years old.

It will commence mid-March 2025 with a particular focus through to the end of April 2025 to align with Bowel Cancer Awareness Month (April).

The campaign toolkit contains campaign details as well as materials for use across all localities.
