Complex Cancer Late Effects Rehabilitation Service (CCLERS)

The Complex Cancer Late Effects Rehabilitation Service helps patients who are have persistent pain and /or functional impairments related to their treatment for cancer in any part of the body.
Both CCLERs and BRIRS are tertiary referral services so patients should have already received treatment from their local and regional teams but continue to have unmet healthcare needs. The services are free to any patients registered with a GP in England

CCLERS and BRIRS patients attend a two day MDT clinic with clinical specialists in pain and rehabilitation. Patients may subsequently be invited to attend a two week multi-disciplinary residential programme where they are seen by a specialist nurse, OT’s/PT’s, Psychology, and Pain Specialists for a tailored rehabilitation programme including hydrotherapy.
